Students who are skilled in the educational uses of technology are more prepared to meet the demands of the 21st Century. It is imperative that technology education does not happen separately from academic curricula, but interweaves it and becomes a visible and implied component. When used correctly, technology will bring the conversation beyond the classroom walls into a more dynamic global forum.

Ideally, technology becomes a medium by which students become reflective learners who gain invaluable experience by publishing for a real audience. Technology in its best use supports and strengthens pedagogy. A student in today's world is not simply watching their "digital footprints", they are actively engaged in positive personal branding.
